Have you heard about the new trends that the fashion brands are showing off right now? Well probably you all do, but today we’re going to list and review them all.
The password for this fall is “Velvet Everything” so keep it in mind when you are choosing what to wear.
Surely you have to match it with a statement fur and a statement choker as well. The choker is another trending piece right now.
Now let’s see all the fashion trends that ELLE proposed us:
1) RENAISSANCE WOMAN
Velvet, bell sleeves, corsets and more make up for a modern day madrigal singer. -ELLE
A little bit gothic and dramatic but still very feminin. You should complete the look with big emebellished earrings and a tiara like this cool outfits below directly from Nasty Gal.
2) PUFFERS AND EVENING WEAR
Who says you need an evening coat just for dressy occasions? -ELLE
The name describes it all: the fluffy giant puffers are the new parka jackets. Honestly, when I was little I used to hate them because they made me appear like a big fat roll but of course they weren’t as cool as this new coats so I think I’m going to change my mind…
Shine on ladies! With these sparkly coats, dresses and skirts it should be more easy to do. -ELLE
This is absolutely one of my favourite trends. Tinsel is, for me, like sparkles and paillettes, a no time must have. In my wardrobe I have a beautiful black sweater with purple tinsel on the front; Trust me when I say that everytime I wear it I begin to sparkle like if I’ve got hundreds of sparkles.
4) EMBELLISHED GUITAR STRAPS
Bags really got the rockstar treatment this year with extra wide embellished straps that make carrying yours just a little easier. -ELLE
Lately I became a real Fendi lover, that’s why I couldn’t resist to show you the new bags with guitar straps that the brand presented for this fall. Fendi is my new bag guru, this is all you need to know…
For those when you need just the tiniest cover as possible, designers present you with theese capelets. A little retro but also very chic. -ELLE
Capelets are mostly little and minimal, really chic. Personally I don’t adore them but anyway I find them cute for completing an outfit.
6) THE STATEMENT CHOKER
We’ll always have love in our hearts for the thin, velvet ribbon chokers of the ’90s, but this season it’s all about major statement chokers that fully cover your neck. -ELLE
About the chokers there are two different thoughts: The people who hates them and the people who loves them. Personally, I love them. I feel complete when I wore one of them; I think they are the perfect accessory and I’m glad to see that they are trend now.
7) PINSTRIPE SUITING
What’s this? A trend anyone could wear? Yes! Cool pinstripes (as opposed to your dad’s boring suits-type of pinstripes) lenghten and slim every body type. -ELLE
I used to call this one the “chalkboard style” and I think the name is quite right… Anyway I don’t mind this style but It’s not one of my favorites either.. Sure is that it gives you a “bossy” look so you must have the right attitude to wear it (pay attention!).
P.S= did I mention that it looks really sexy on men?
8) DAVID BOWIE BOOTS
Imagine our surprise when this uber chunky-sole boots popped up on the runways. Once relegated to mega musicians like David Bowie and the Spice Girls, these boots were spotted at no less than four shows. -ELLE
Well, this are quite weird and quite” futuristic vintage style”. I can’t deny that with the right look could be a cool pair of shoes..
9) EXTRA LONG SLEEVES
What can we say about this trend? Kind of functional (hoorah for covered hands) kind of not (they’ll definitely get in the way), extra-long was the preferred sleeve lenght for many designers this seasonn. -ELLE
We’ve seen this one also last year. I think it’s one of the ways designers use to change their creations, make them different: if they make a sweater, it has to be special somehow, so they cut a shorter or longer sleeve ecc…
You’re in luck, luxury comfort is still key for fall 2016. Snuggle up in options brought to you by everyone from Lacoste to Antony Vaccarello. -ELLE
I think that now we can officially delete this quote:
Fashion begins where the comfort zone ends.
I really like this new hoodie trend specially when it’s combined to totally different styles like the tulle skirt which is a trending piece right now. Hoodie+tulle skirt= must have
11) ‘80s POWER ONE SHOULDER
The ’80s have (somehow) made it back to the collective consciousness again. One-shoulder dresses and tops with loads of ruffles reigned supreme at many shows over the month. -ELLE
Really cute look on a top and really sexy on a skinny dress… your choice!
12) PATENT LEATHER TRENCH COATS
In the market for a raincoat that’s equal parts chic and functional? Look no further than next season’s patent leather trench coats. Once relegated to only accessories, the shiny finish was spotted on jackets at many of our favourite designers. – ELLE
WOW this new trend is a bomb! This is the kind of things that are worth to be called must have….
13) METAL DETAILS
In an unexpected twist, this silver details were placed on pieces by both edgy and demure brands. -ELLE
A ‘bit of sparkle never killed anyone!
14) THE NAVY OVERCOAT
Pre-fall’s nautical trend continues strong into fall 2016 with Navy-inspired calf and ankle-lenght coats. If you’re on the shorter side wear yours with heels to keep it from swallowing your frame. -ELLE
The navy overcoat is a Forever Masterpiece end of discussion.
The fabric of the season is so wonderfully soft you’ll want to touch this chic pieces constantly. -ELLE
My thoughts at the moment? Velvet is life.
16) SCHOOL JUMPERS
Longing for the days when getting dressed meant putting on a simple uniform made up of a pinafore and top? Well come fall 2016, you are in luck. This was the go-to combo for everyone from Jil Sander Navy to Kuno. -ELLE
Much classy and british style. Perfect for a college student but I’d match it with something off-the-topic like a pair of colorful shoes.. something different! Because fashion has to be fun not boring.
17) ONE ARM TOPS
Off the shoulder shirts have had their day in spotlight. Now it’s time to make room for a new shade. Spotted at no fewer than five different shows, this cut was popular on the runway, but we’ll see how it translates to real life. -ELLE
It reminds me one of the trends we just saw.. Like I said: is all about designers’ strategic choices..
18) GRAY PLAID
This isn’t your run-off-the-mill, boring grey plaid. This is a total upgrade in the form of unexpected cuts and silhouettes. -ELLE
Personally, not my favourite..
19) WEIRD WAYS TO HOLD YOUR BAG
Carry your bag any other way than you’re actually supposed to: around your neck, under your armpit, wrapped around your wrist, or on your hip. -ELLE
This is one of the new entries. What should I say? Of course I love this trend!
I love new ideas, new things, different styles combinations. This reflects it all. 10 points !
20) CROSS BODY FUR STOLES
Designers have always had a love affair with luxe fur stoles, but the asymmetrical draping style trick makes it different than ever before. -ELLE
The fur is a never ending trend a little bit like my love for them (faux ones of course).
Cold weather sucks but at least you’ll have a good reason to wear these embellished, ornate and over-the-top gloves. -ELLE
Gloves are one of my favourite accessories. I like the leather ones from Karl Lagerfeld very much and I’m planning of buying a pair soon…
22) STATEMENT FURS
This season’s furs (both faux and real) are not for the meek. Be prepared for all eyes to be on you when you walk into a room wearing one of these numbers. -ELLE
Real pieces of art! They don’t need further description.
23) PINK & YELLOW
It’s not often that designers inject such bright colors into their fall collections, but this season a few brands really went for it. The interesting color combination is a welcome contrast to the darker hues we regularly see during the cold weather months. -ELLE
This is a totally different match but I have to say that I like it. It reminds me a flamingo, doesn’t it?
Hope you enjoyed all the article! See you soon with other spicy news 😉
